THE JUDGMENT OF THE NATIONS…2 Matt. 25:31–46
The brethren of Christ are Jews who believe in Christ during the wicked rule of the anti-Christ and the great tribulation. However, it is not out of place to say that whatever good is done to all believers in Christ, either Jew or Gentiles is implied. Matt. 10:40-42. “Whoever when is minded to do works of compassion to Christians, because he believes he has in Christ a Faithful Redeemer who reconciles him to God; or himself suffers the opposition of the devil and the world because of his faith-let him be cheerful and joyous, for he has already received the joyous sentence, ‘Come ye blessed’ – Luther.
- Matt. 25:35, 36, 37-39. “I was an hungered, and you gave me meat…naked and ye clothed me, I was sick, and ye visited me; I was in prison, and ye came unto me.”
- “The benevolent towards suffering Christian determines man’s future. The actions will be accepted as really personal relation to Christ, as acted in life that will fix eternal destiny. All this directly applies only to those who have knowledge of him; those without his knowledge will be condemned for rejecting Him Rom. 1:18; 2:12-16.
- Benevolent towards suffering Jews believers. Act. 4:34-35; 11:28-30, Heb. 10:32-34, Jas. 1:1, 27. Jewish believers, suffered much in the hand of their countrymen, and Saul was a ring leader of that persecution Act. 8:1, 3; 9:1-3, Gal. 1:13.
- Benevolent towards all suffering believers. Act. 6:1, 1Cor. 16:1, 3; 9:1, 6-10, Act. 20:35. Persecution had kept the brethren impoverished and made life hard for them. - Benevolent towards preachers and ministers of the Gospel. Jesus days. Lk. 8:1-3, Matt. 10:9-10, and the Apostles days. 1Cor. 9:7-11, 13-14, Act. 28:8-10, Phil. 4:14-18, Phile.7, Gal. 6:6-8, 1Tim. 5:17-18.
- The acid test of discipleship is giving. Scanty, restricted, restrained giving hurts the individual and hampers the kingdom of God. There are no exceptions. Rich and poor to come with their offerings in generous, willing, wholehearted, and happy giving. It continues
