THE REGATHERING OF ISRAEL Matt. 24:31

The regathering and the “latter rain”, the national conversion of Israel. Zech. 12:10-14; 13:1, Joel 2:28-31, Deut. 30::3-5. All the prophets from Moses spoke about the regathering of Israel and the conversion of the remnant according to election, Rom. 11:1-6 …26-36 called the “latter rain’ that is the pouring out of the Holy Spirit and personal revelation of Christ to the family of David and the remnant in Jerusalem, not merely as the glorious deliverer, but as the One whom Israel pierced and has long rejected Zech. 12:10.

  1. The regathering of Israel. Matt. 24:31, Is. 27:12, Deut. 30:3-5, Jer. 23:3-6, Is. 11:11-16, Ez. 34:13-31; 37:21-27, Zech. 10:8-12, Jer. 30:3; 32:27.
  2. Three great outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Joel. 2:28-32.
    a. Beginning from the day of Pentecost in Acts 2, through the Church age, to be climax by a great outbreak that will sweep the Gentile world, the fullness of the time of the Gentiles. Rom. 11:26. The church a partaker of the Holy Spirit, the good things of God, and powers of the world to come. Heb. 6:4-5, the new covenant of a new heart and a new spirit Heb. 8:8-13, Ezek. 36:26-27.
    b. Both a remnant in Israel and Gentiles from many nations will be a partaker during the future tribulation Joel. 2:28-32, the salvation of 144,000 Israelites and the multitude.
    c. The fulfilment of the new covenant in the millennium. Is. 32:15; 44:3, Ezek. 36:26-27, Zech. 12:10.
  3. The “latter rain” Israel’s conversion Zech. 12:10-14 13:1, Joel. 2:28-32, Jer. 50:4-5, this will be the full-fulfilment of Joel 2:28-32, Act. 2:16-21.
    a. The godly sorrow and mourning and repentance will last for two days and continue until the third day when God will raise them up Hos. 6:1-3.
    b. The nation will be born in a day Is. 66::7-8
    c. They will say “Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord” Matt.23:37-39
    d. It will be the spirit of recognition-look upon me whom they have pierced Zech. 12:10, Rev. 1:7.
  4. A fountain will be opened for sin and uncleanness Zech. 13:1, all Israel will be saved at this time and the redeemer will come from Zion. Rom. 11:25-29.
    a. Their sins will be remembered no more Mich. 7:18-19, Is. 44:22, Jer. 50:20
    b. The new covenant fulfilled Jer. 33:20-26; 33:6-8, Ezek. 36:26-27
