Pastor Peter B. Owoeye

He was born on 1st April 1951, into the traditional Alaaye family of Ijopa-Street in Osi-Ekiti, Ekiti-State, Nigeria. He was brought up in the Roman Catholic Church. He was born again in his final year of the Advance level class at Victory College, Ikare-Akoko, Ondo-State, Nigeria in March, 1973, under the ministration of Rev. Michael Oye. Michael Oye was the first indigenous travelling secretary of the Scripture Union in Nigeria. He was then his teacher. He had his ministerial training under the ministries of Evangelist Isaiah Oke of the Last Days Evangelical Ministry, Ilesa, Osun-State in December, 1973. Others are Pastor, OlusegunTubi of Ado-Ekiti 1974, late Rev. S.G. Elton a Briton, in Ilesa, Osun-State 1974-1975, and the Evangelistic ministry of late Rev. T.L. Osborn to Nigeria in 1974. He heard the pastoral call in October, 1973 while teaching at Oka-Akoko, Ondo-State, Nigeria. He entered in the evangelical and pastoral ministry in June 1976 and was then engaged in evangelical outreaches and writing of tracts. He fully started Gospel Church of the living God on the 29th of August, 1983 in Ilesa, Osun-State, Nigeria. He entered in to full time pastoral and evangelical ministry in February, 1996. He is married to Victoria Olufunso and they are blessed with four children. They are all serving the Lord in the ministry.
