THE PARABLE OF THE TARES OF THE FIELD …4. Matt. 13:36, 24-30, 36-43.
“Let us remit our case to the harvest. Do not be answering the fool and the enemy now, and thus wasting opportunities which ought to be usefully employed in endeavoring to do good, but wait till the harvest. Then shall all qualities be tested, then shall every man have his proper place and standing before God’ –PARKER
- Matt. 13:43 “Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their father”
- ‘The righteous” Rom. 3:10-12, 16-26; 4:3-8. The righteousness of God is neither an attribute of God, nor the changed character of the believer, but CHRIST HIMSELF Jer. 33:16, who fully met in our stead and behalf every demand of the law, and who is, by the act of God called imputation Lev. 25:50, Jas. 2:23 “made unto us…righteousness” “The believer in Christ is now, by grace, shrouded under so complete and blessed a righteousness that the law from Mt. Sinai can find neither fault nor diminution therein. This is that which is called the righteousness of God by faith” – John Bunyan 1Cor. 5:21, Rom. 4:6; 10:4, Phil. 3:9, Rom. 3:26. “His righteousness” here is God’s consistency with His own law and holiness in freely justifying a sinner who believes in Christ; that is, one in whose behalf Christ has met every demand of the law. Rom. 10:4.
- They aremade alive in the spirit. 1Pet. 3:18, Eph. 2:5.
- They have their nakednesscovered. Act. 12:8, Zech. 3:3-5, Rev. 3:18.
- They became partakers of divine nature. 2Pet. 1:4.
- They became God’s righteouness. Ro. 3:24-26; 4:25.
- They have righteousness as armour. Is. 11:5, Job. 29:14, Is. 61:10, 2Cor. 6:7.
- No question, no accusationagainst them. Rom. 8:1.
- They live their lives as new man, after God created in righteousness and true holiness. Eph. 4:23-32; 5:2-13
- “Shall shine forth in the kingdom of their father” Is. 3:10, Ps. 92:12, Dan. 12:3.
- They shall shine and be radiant. Job. 11:17, Ps. 34:5, Eccl. 8:1, Jn. 5:35, Act. 6:15, 2Cor. 3:18, 1Jn. 3:1-3
- “In the kingdom of their father” “When Christ shall deliver the kingdom to God, even the father …that God may be all in all 1Cor. 15:24, 28. They will be rewarded at the judgment seat of Christ, and reign with Him for 1000 years.
