THE PARABLE OF THE TARES OF THE FIELD …1. Matt. 13:36, 24-30, 36-43

(4) Sometimes confounded by superficial observers, but easily distinguished through their fruits v. 26. (5) Sure to be separated in the great day coming, (a) without chance of error, (b) without possibility of reunion, (c) so that the one class shall burn in unquenchable fire, and the other shall shine in unsullied purity and undimmed glory forever” Broadus John A.
- THOMAS. “The mixture of good and bad in this world is of service. (1) It is of service to the bad; it keeps them in position of improvement. (2) It is of service to the good; holy character is strengthened and perfected by contact with palpable evil”
- Matt. 13:30, 39. “Let them grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will send reapers…”
- “…the harvest is the end of the world…”
- The ‘world’ as used in Matt. 13:22; 12:32 and not as in 13:38, denotes the present period, the existing condition of things, as opposed to some past or future conditions.
- ‘The end’ as used in Matt. 24:3; 28:20 denotes the consummation of the present period or state of things which will be at our Lord’s coming, which will open the new and eternal period. This will begin with; (1) the 1st resurrection, rapture, caught up or gathering unto Him. 1Thess. 4:16-17, 2Thess. 2:1. This is the separation of the saints or the harvest of believers before the day of wrath Lk. 21:36, Ps. 27:5, Is. 26:20, 1Thess. 5:9-10. “The Lord knows how to deliver the godly…and to reserve the unjust unto the Day of Judgment to be punished” 2Pet. 2:9. He saved Noah- 2Pet. 2:5 and delivered Lot- 2Pet. 2:6-8. (2) The harvest of the clusters of the vine of the earth Rev. 14:16-20, Is. 63:1-6, Rev. 19:11-19, Is. 34:5-12 in the battle of Armageddon. (3) The separation of Nations opposed to Israel before the kingdom reign Matt. 25:31-43 and will end with: (4) the white throne judgement Rev. 20:11-15.
- “And the reapers are angels” Matt. 13:39. Angels who now desire to look into the things of salvation 1Pet. 1:12, rejoice over one sinner that repents. Lk. 15:7, who are ministering spirits sent forth to do service for the sake of those who inherit salvation Heb. 1:14 will be assigned to take up the task of separating the wicked from the righteous.
