Text: Dan. 9:26-27

The determined wrath of God upon the desolator continues. Dan. 9:27

The seven vials (cups) of God’s wrath continues. Rev. 15:1-16:21

Heaven is neither silent nor embarrassed when evil is punished. Heaven rejoices at the justice and judgment of God. “The faithful God of creation and redemption will faithfully respond in keeping with His own nature and word by giving rebellious human beings what they have stubbornly insisted upon, namely, everlasting separation from Him. Surely, as God’s wrath, this is the height of torment and misery- to be separated from the One who is the true source of life, to be cut off from one’s merciful creator and thus to experience everlastingly the eternal death that comes from the rejection of Him who is the source of everlasting life.”

  1. The sixth vial- the river Euphrates dried up Rev. 16:12-16
  2. This will dry up just as the Red Sea and Jordan River. Ex. 14:13-22, Josh. 3:4, 2Kg. 2:8, 11. This will be literal drying up, the same God who removed the obstacle from the way of His people, is still working and will still do it any time any day Heb. 13:8, Mal. 3:6.

  6. These unclean spirits are like what happened in 2Chro. 18:18-22, 1Kg. 22:19-23, where King Ahab was misled by evil spirits for his destruction.
  7. This is the fulfilment of Ps. 2:1-12, the second advent of Christ to reign on the throne of David.
  8. The nations will be led to Armageddon. Ez. 38:10-13 (vv. 1-9, 16… cp. 39).
  9. Rev. 16:17 “And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air…” The judgement now poured out against the evil powers controlling the space Eph. 2:2; 6:12, 2Cor. 4:4, Jn. 16:11; 12:31-33. Air also affects every living thing. The air may also be polluted in such a way that it will negatively affect all creatures.
  10. “… and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, it is done.” It is said in Rev. 10:7, that in the days of the voice of the seventh angel… the mystery of God should be finished…, so here it is completed. All’s over. What is all over?
