The determined wrath of God upon the desolator. Dan. 9:27

The events of the great tribulation Matt. 24:21 will span through 3½ years. It is the beginning of the day of the Lord, when God will step into the affairs of men in judgment and called the time of God’s vengeance or wrath of God. It is God’s wrath upon the kingdom of the desolator. We will first consider God’s salvation plan during the great wrath

  1. “Four Angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth” Rev. 7:1 were told in a loud voice not to hurt the earth, until the servants of God has been sealed in their foreheads vs. 2-3. “The Angel of the Lord” as in these places Gen. 16:7-13; 22:1-13; 32:24-30, Judg. 13:16-18 has to be sent. The total number is 144, 000 Jews. This has nothing to do with the church.
  2. God has not appointed anyone who believes unto wrath. 1Thes. 5:9
  3. He will save the righteous before the day of evil. 2Pet. 2:5-9.
  4. The two witnesses Rev. 11:3-6, Num. 11:26, Deut. 17:6, 2Cor. 13:1
  5. “The two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the whole earth.” Rev. 11:4, Zech. 4:2-6, 11-14. Amp. They are two anointed ones standing by the Lord of the whole earth. Zech. 4:14. It is neither the Church, which would have been raptured before this event nor any of the old/new testament prophets. Elijah and Enoch are not coming back to die, they have been given the grace to be a partaker of what the whole Church will experience. Remember all will not die, but we shall all be changed. 1Cor. 15:51.
  6. Their security and manner of their ministry. Rev. 11:5-6. These two men will oppose the whole world, including the Anti-Christ. They will testify with force. Rom. 1:16. They will perform miracles in order to protect themselves and help the Jews and the remaining Christians during the Great Tribulation. Act. 18:10. No man will harm them until they finish their ministry. Jn. 17:4, Act. 20:24, 2Tim. 4:7.
  7. They will be killed by the beast after the completion of their ministry. Rev. 11:7-10
  8. Nothing can overcome you as long as your ministry lasts. Is. 54:17.
  9. The city of Jerusalem is spiritually Sodom and Egypt. These are symbols of immorality, idolatry and oppression
  10. The world will rejoice at their death. The Jews celebrated the death of the old prophets and of Christ. Matt. 23:34-35; 27:62-66. The world rejoices in evil. Gen. 6:5
  11. Their resurrection and ascension. Rev. 11:11-12, Ezek. 37:5-10, 12-14. “Come up hither”-This again is not the rapture of the Church which would have taken place before this event, rather these two witnesses will be taken back to heaven as another witness to the world, that God will take all His own out of the wicked world.
  12.  The word “fear” here, may lead some the still be saved during this terrible period. It will definitely render impotent the power of the Anti-Christ who has been deceiving the world.
  13. “…God who quickeneth the dead and calleth those things which be not as though they were” Rom. 4:17 “…will open your graves…put his spirit in you and you shall live…” Ezek. 37:12-14.
